You're absolutely correct about "C:\Program Files\IrfanView\i_view32.exe " c:\\ /fs. My attempt at implementing this was to send the command line: Thus, one can't just do "next" or have a txt file spec. This is not an automatic-running slide show, nor are the successive images shown in a fixed sequence images that Rachele selects might even be in different directories. I have therefore started to transition to IrfanView, and all went very smoothly until working on a procedure in which VOCA needs to open a particular jpg in full screen, and then change it to another. The SAFE GUI is still active and responsive, but Rachele can't see it! That "feature" is that when an image is expanded to full screen it acts as though it has been promoted to session 0 and there is absolutely no way to paint a SAFE-generated switch grid on top of it. Until know, image display has been done by controlling C:\WINDOWS\system32\shimgvw.dll from "VOCA for WordPerfet".Ĭ:\WINDOWS\system32\shimgvw.dll in XP was the Image and Fax Viewer, while in Vista and Win7 it is the Windows Photo Gallery, and the latter has one "feature" that has forced me to look for an alternative. Her software system consists of VOCA for WordPerfect written in PerfectScript that allows her to scan and select various items and links in a several hundred page document, a Special-access Application Front End (SAFE) utility written in C that provides switch or gaze scannable grids for applications that don't provide switch or gaze access, and Loquendo Text-to-Speech in several languages. Rachele is tetraplegic because of cerbral palsy and does everything using two head-operated switches (or a gaze tracker, but that is actually more difficult for her). ![]() I am in the midst of adapting a new computer for my daughter to use as her voice prosthesis and general purpose computer. Perhaps someone will suggest a third way to do what I want. I have two questions both related to the same project, so I'll first describe what I need to do, and ask my questions at the end.
